Computer scientists, especially, those in Theoretical Computer Science find inspiring ideas both in old notions and results, and in the 20th century mathematics. The latest decades have brought us evidence that computer people will soon study quantum physics and modern biology just to understand what computers are doing.
Bringing pupils' learning closer to a scientific construction of knowledge: A permanent feature in innovations in science teaching

In this article we intend to show that the idea of linking science learning to the way of doing science constitutes a permanent feature, although not always explicit, in innovations in science teaching. A thread which, in our opinion, has shown itself to be fruitful, even through its wrong avenues, and that is being reinforced nowadays by the emerging constructivist paradigm and by the implications of the contemporary philosophy of science in science education.

After having been a term of reflection in philosophy as well as psychology for ages, the fascination with human wisdom finally reaches the realms of computer science. In comparison to the first philosophical definition attempts, that date back to Aristotle (384 BC – 322BC), the efforts in information science during the late 1980s seem quite recent.
